1. Overview
These Terms govern your access to and use of geosln.com and geosln-api.com. By using either site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Services
GEOSLN LLC offers:
- Flood risk analysis and reporting (web interface and API)
- Geospatial data and analysis tools
- Data processing and conversion services
- Consulting and custom analysis (invoiced separately)
- Meeting scheduling and support
All services are provided by GEOSLN LLC, a Wyoming-registered company.
3. Eligibility & Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By accessing our platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Account Registration
You may register using email/password or third-party authentication (e.g., Google OAuth). You are responsible for:
- Keeping your credentials confidential
- All activity on your account
- Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access
Free & Paid Access
Free users have limited access to trial features. Registered users receive an API token. We may rotate or revoke tokens for security reasons.
4. Payments & Billing
Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store full credit card information.
Taxes & Fees
Sales tax or VAT is automatically calculated based on your location. You may be responsible for additional taxes in your jurisdiction.
Refunds
- Technical errors or service outages: Full refund
- Unused credits (within 14 days): Full refund
- Meeting cancellations (24+ hours notice): Full refund
- Delivered analysis products: Non-refundable unless delivery failed due to service error
To request a refund, email hello@geosln.com within 30 days of the charge.
5. API Usage & Acceptable Use
File Uploads
Standard API file uploads are limited to 250 MB. For larger files, contact hello@geosln.com to arrange custom processing.
Rate Limits
We enforce rate limits on all API endpoints to ensure fair access and platform stability. Rate limits apply per IP address. Protected endpoints have higher limits for authenticated users. For specific limits and documentation, see our API docs at geosln-api.com.
Exceeding limits results in a 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Contact hello@geosln.com for higher rate limit allowances.
Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Violate laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or malicious activity
- Abuse services through spam, automated scraping, or circumventing rate limits
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our methodologies or proprietary data
- Build competing products using our services
Violation may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
6. Your Data & Ownership
Your Content: You retain full ownership of all data you upload or provide. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to deliver requested services.
Temporary Files: Uploaded files are deleted after processing unless you request extended retention.
Our Content: All GEOSLN LLC trademarks, software, and materials are our property. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them without permission.
7. Analysis Results & Downloads
Results delivered through our platform are yours to download, use, and share. You are responsible for:
- Securing downloaded data
- Complying with local laws applicable to that data
- Not misrepresenting the source or methodology of our analysis
GEOSLN LLC provides analysis for informational purposes. Results should be independently validated before use in safety-critical, regulatory, or insurance applications.
8. Intellectual Property
All GEOSLN LLC trademarks, logos, software, and content are our property or that of our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them. Your use is limited to personal, educational, and commercial purposes consistent with these Terms.
9. Business Use & Custom Licensing
We welcome both individual and business use of our platform. For business inquiries regarding custom pricing, volume discounts, dedicated support, white-label solutions, or custom licensing, contact hello@geosln.com.
10. Disclaimers
Our services are provided “as-is” and “as-available.” While we work to maintain reliable service, we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- That defects will be corrected
- That services will meet your specific needs
- Accuracy of analysis results
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, GEOSLN LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data or revenue. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 30 days preceding the claim.
12. Termination
By You
You may stop using our services at any time. Contact hello@geosln.com to deactivate your account.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate access for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Illegal activity or service misuse
- Non-payment
- Extended inactivity (we will provide 30-day notice before terminating dormant accounts)
Data Upon Termination
Account data and content are deleted within 30 days of termination. Payment records are retained as required by law (typically 7 years). We may retain security logs for compliance purposes.
13. Data Attribution
Our services may incorporate third-party data licensed under open licenses (e.g., Creative Commons). When you use our analysis results, you agree to maintain required attribution as specified in our outputs and documentation.
14. Dispute Resolution
Before legal action, contact hello@geosln.com to attempt informal resolution. These Terms are governed by Wyoming law. Disputes are resolved in Natrona County, Wyoming courts.
15. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Updates take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
